Gramophone critic Lindsay Kemp – also artistic director of the Lufthansa Festival of Baroque Music – and editor of Gramophone Online Martin Cullingford discuss the shortlist in the Baroque Instrumental category of the Gramophone Classical Music Awards 2011, presented in association with Steinway & Sons.
The Freiburg Baroque Orchestra features twice – with Andreas Staier in harpsichord concertos by CPE Bach, and in a 4-CD set of Telemann's Musique de Table. Both releases are on Harmonia Mundi. The third disc is of Handel's Concerti Grossi Op 6, released by Linn records.
