This weekend sees the annual Home Entertainment Show in Manchester, organised by hi-fi and home cinema retailers Audio T in association with Sevenoaks and What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision.

As well as being able to see and hear all the latest hi-fi and home cinema equipment, showgoers will also be treated to two lunchtime 'micro-concerts', in which cellist Li Lu will perform Bach Cello Suites.

They will be held each day at 1:00pm and last an hour, and entrance will be free for those attending the show, which currently has over 90 brands exhibiting.

Li Lu describes herself as 'an adventurer of cultures' who wants to bring her cello to all corners of the world, and play to as many people as possible.

In the summer of 2010, she spent 35 days travelling across Europe from Athens to Edinburgh with her cello, 'surviving only on her musical talent'. Her exploits were recorded in Sky TV's Art of Survival.

Early this year, she presented the complete Bach cello suites at six different venues over the course of one day at  the 2011 Chorlton Arts Festival.

She lives in Manchester, where she studies and teaches.

The show takes place at the Renaissance Hotel, Blackfriars Street, Manchester M3 2EQ, and is open from 9:30am to 5:30pm this Saturday, October 22, and 10:00am to 5:00pm on Sunday, October 23.

Tickets are available on the door for £7 (adults) and £4 for students (including a free pair of in-ear headphones) and senior citizens. Accompanied children under 16 are free.

More details are available on the show website.
