The London Philharmonic Orchestra today launched an on-demand concert streaming service that allows people to enjoy their concerts for a fortnight. Accessed either by the web or via the LPO iPhone app, complete concerts can be listened to for the remainder of the season. The audio is streamed at 256 kbps and you can also download the concert’s programme notes from the LPO’s site.

The concert given last Saturday (May 1) at the Royal Festival Hall, and conducted the LPO’s principal conductor Vladimir Jurowski, will be available from today until May 20. The programme comprised Wagner’s Faust Overture, Brahms’s Alto Rhapsody (with Anna Larssen and the London Philharmonic Choir) and Liszt’s Faust Symphony (with the choir and Peter Auty).
