Yesterday's announcement that Sir Simon Rattle will become the Music Director of the London Symphony Orchestra in 2017 was wonderful news not just for the orchestra itself, but for all music-making in Great Britain. In the video below, Rattle speaks about his exciting plans for the LSO, and the importance of focusing on music education.
