Sony Classical have released a new 22-disc box-set dedicated to Leontyne Price's greatest opera recordings called 'Leontyne Price: Prima Donna Assoluta'. The majority of the recordings were remastered in 2016 from the original analogue tapes using 24 bit/96 kHz technology. The set includes Carmen, conducted by Karajan, Il Trovatore, conducted by Zubin Mehta, and Aida, Un ballo in maschera, Il tabarro, Madama Butterfly and Cosi fan tutte, all conducted by Erich Leinsdorf.
