The Metropolitan Opera's production of Wagner's Ring cycle has won a Grammy for Best Opera Recording. Filmed for The Met: Live in HD cinema broadcasts, the 2012 Deutsche Grammophon recording was released as a five-disc Bluray and an eight-disc DVD, but not as an audio CD.

The Robert Lepage production features Bryn Terfel as Wotan, Jonas Kaufmann as Siegmund and Deborah Voigt as Brünnhilde. The conducting is shared by the Met's music director James Levine and principal conductor Fabio Luisi.
