Musicians in miniature

Most ensembles, launching a new season programme, like to ‘big themselves up’. The musicians of the Aurora Orchestra, however, have miniaturised themselves. Such an unorthodox approach is entirely in keeping with an ensemble that prides itself on seeking to ‘inspire, challenge and astonish new audiences…and a refusal to be bound by convention’. 

For the Aurora Orchestra's new season brochure, all principal players have been scanned, scaled and made into models on a 3D printer – with their instruments, including an exact scale replica of a Model D Steinway grand piano. The models have been produced by Levavo in partnership with Cadventure.
