Eight dates take place throughout England and Scotland in September and October
The Vienna Boys' Choir tour the UK for the first time in 10 years this September and October, giving eight performances across England and Scotland, including a joint performance with the choir of King's College, Cambridge on October 4.
Established in the 15th century as part of the Chapel of Maximilian of Hapsburg, the choir became the Vienna Boys' Choir in 1924, and since then have sung in more than 100 countries, giving nearly 1000 tours. The Choir includes 100 boys aged between nine and 14, divided into four touring ensembles.
The programme of the 2012 UK tour takes a journey through Viennese musical history, ranging from Mozart to Billy Joel, with performances in Leeds, Manchester, London, Cambridge, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. For details click here.
