Gregynog, the oldest classical music festival in Wales, is curated annually on a theme drawn from its unique heritage. Gregynog Festival 2012: Venezia marks one hundred years since Gwendoline and Margaret Davies, the founders of the Festival, began purchasing their magnificent paintings of Venice by Monet, Sickert and Whistler which now hang at National Museum Cardiff. Many performances are Wales debut and UK season exclusives and some are being held in Cardiff, Montgomery and Kerry as well as Gregynog Hall itself. The beautiful Gregynog estate is five miles from Newtown, Powys, and the fine acoustic of the Music Room is ideally suited to chamber, choral and early music concerts.
