I can also put music from Spotify on my mobile phone and listen on-the-move or at work.

I've tried the Spotify mobile app but it wasn't very successful - it froze and stalled a lot even when connected to wi-fi.  Maybe I need a more up to date smartphone.  May I ask what you're using Phileas?

HTC Desire.

It works fine except that recently it crashes frequently when logging in which has been a bit of a nuisance when trying to put tracks on it. Playing tracks is OK because it doesn't crash in offline/airplane mode.

Mine's an HTC Wildfire which I think is a budget version of the Desire.  Have you decided what to buy next when your contract (if you have one) ends?  Samsung seem to be the hot favourite for Android customers - certainly my son's Samsung responds faster than my HTC but he doesn't have Spotify on it.

My contract ends this month actually, but I can't see there's any new phone to get excited about so I'll probably just stick with the one I've got for now.

Hi Charles - the problem is that the Spotify app does not work in a reliable way on my smartphone when I try to stream it via wi-fi. (I wouldn't expect it to work via the mobile network). Anyway, I've since learned that it streams at 160kbps so wouldn't be interested in that sound quality anyway.  I'm watching developments in case 320kbps becomes available.

I get the message: status 'ongoing' with no sound.

Sounds like a good decision.  I've just learned that my son's first Samsung didn't work properly - they sent him a replacement and that one is faulty too.

You can find out if a drive is FAT16, FAT32 or NTFS by plugging it into a PC. You then need to find the drive in Windows Explorer (in My Computer) then right click on the drive and select Properties from the drop down menu.

RE: A period of quiet

i have found out from experience that multi CD albums can get loaded on the jb7 incorrectly.
To prevent this, we would recommend the following procedure:

1. Load the first CD from the box set, selecting the correct name for that album.
2. Rename the first CD to have "CD 1 " at the end of the title. Eg "Multi CD Album Disc 1".
3.Load the next CD from the boxset, selecting the correct name for that album.
4. Rename the second CD to have "CD 2 " at the end of the title. Eg "Multi CD Album Disc 2".
5. Repeat until all CDs are loaded.

RE: The Brennan JB7

To create a text document of the albums on your device:

1) Insert a USB storage device (Eg a USB Pendrive)
2) Go to the main menu
3) Select "Usb Functions".
4) Select "List Albums"

This Will create a txt. file on your USB stick detailing the albums stored on your unit.

RE: A period of quiet

I can't read a thread without seeing a question about the JB7.
