Arrrgh....please, please get rid of the Trial.

I thought the Karajan Parsifal for-and-against bad, but reading the prosecution of Elgar's violin concerto in the hands of Menuhin and Elgar it's more than I can take. Why pit Sammonds and Woods versus Menuhin and Elgar? You don't choose between either, you have both and you enjoy, marvel at and appreciate their differences. The Trial comes across a a sophisticated take on the century-old debates amongst football fans:-to give you but one example, which is the 'bigger' club, Man United or Liverpool? (Not a fan of either...).Regards, Myron...
