Not AFAIK, but you can't edit a post once it has a reply
EDIT: just checked, and yes you can still edit posts.

The post I can't edit hasn't yet had a reply, but I still don't see an 'edit' option link underneath it - just:

I'm obviously logged in ok, as I've posted this (and, earlier, I did try logging out and back in, 'just in case').
Still puzzled :-)

You can edit the first post, but the link is elsewhere - you need to click on the 'edit' tab above the post, not on any link underneath it.

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately there isn't an 'edit' tab above the post either.
What I actually see is shown in this screenshot.

Ah. That's not right - you should be able to edit the post provided there's no reply, so I'll need to take a look at our permissions...
