This in not what many native English speakers would recognise as "convergence", Parla.
I can't think of one word for what you outline here, but I know what you mean and acknowledge the sentiment.

You're right, Vic. This is my interpretation of convergence to make the juxtaposition of "diverging" (the different expressed views), when hostility, mistrust, abusive or foul language prevail in our exchanges.
