Are there any plans to upload the PDF versions of recent issues of Gramophone that are missing from the Gramophone archive? I've asked Gramophone several times to upload the August 2009 issue, but I still can't find it (the link takes you to the September issue).

Something's clearly gone wrong here with that issue's files. I'll get that looked at asap. Thanks for raising it, and sorry that nobody had responded to you before. Martin.

Many thanks!

The PDF version of November 2009 is also missing, and I can't find most of the Awards issues.

You might also want to check out August 2006, which seems not to have been OCR'ed and is only available as (unsearchable) images: for example http://www.gramophone.net/Issue/Page/August%202006/63 .

Any joy with this? It's now five months to the day since I first asked Gramophone to upload the August 2009 issue.

June 1999 is also effectively unavailable: try for example http://www.gramophone.net/Issue/Page/June%201999/66 . No OCR'ed text and no PDF downloads, just the tiny and unreadable page images. Please fix this ASAP!

We're on the case with these. If it's any consolation, it really is useful to get this feedback as it helps us prioritise. Martin (with apologies).

RE: Omissions in the Gramophone archive

Hello,

As of late February 2010, I found that the following issues had not been loaded into the Archive: 1955 January, 1993 June. And the following issues could not be found for browsing: 1959 December, 1962 July, 1979 April, 1994 September, 1995 July, 2000 June.

A great site! And thank you for it.

... and the same problem with August 2003: for example http://www.gramophone.net/Issue/Page/August%202003/58 .

May I ask again whether you intend to include the Player Piano Supplement, which was published as an integral part of Gramophone in 1924 and 1925? It is listed on the covers and referred to in editorials by Mackenzie from time to time. If you don't have originals, I have a set of passable photocopies, from which I should be happy to provide you with digital images.
