If I have a criticism about the G website it is that the home page doesn't change enough. News tends to hang around a long time.

It also looks a bit old now. New look mag new look website? Would be nice.

I have to agree.  I went to this website today fully expecting to find a story on the sale of EMI and its significance for classical music.  It wasn't there.

RE: Same old website!

By way of update, I see now there is a belated article on the sale of EMI, but it is no more than a rehash of previous news articles from elsewhere.  It notes these previous articles have had nothing to say about the fate of the classical division but apparently considers it beyond its scope to try to find out the answers for itself.  One might expect more of a classical magazine, but it appears the role of its website is merely to regurgitate what is otherwise available rather than to show any journalistic enterprise of its own.  Meanwhile, the other lead articles remain unchanged and grow staler by the day.

And I certainly hope that you'll all have noticed a considerable increase in online activity of late - whether that be news, blogs or features. Do let us know what is proving of interest, or what you'd like to see more of.

Martin
