Searching the Forum
Is there any way of searching the Forum for topics that might be of interest?
Now that there are several hundred topics, I am loath to post a request or question as I'm not sure if the subject may already have been discussed ad nauseam.
Other specialist interest sites allow searching by topic, date, thread etc. Anything similar here, or planned for?
Thanks

Good morning once again from the distant island of Maui, Hawaii.
I was about to start a new thread about the possibility of the forum having a search ability, when I spotted the thread about this very topic posted by member Macsporran in February of this year, 2012.
Is there any possibility that a search module will be added in the future?
I am in the process of searching for a specific topic that was posted on the forum a few months ago, and without search ability it is like, ".. looking for a needle in a haystack".
Fortunately I am in deep retirement and I have a lot of time, unlike still working members, to search entry by entry, for the posting that I want to re-read.

Sounds like a great idea (to have a search engine)! What about also an easier way to see who is online too? It might help encourage some more discussions?
Irvine, what was the posting(s) about--if I might ask? If I see it, I'll let you know.
Best wishes,
Petra
