Quad amplifier to Carlsson OA 52 loudspeaker

I have a set of omni-directional Carlsson OA 52 loudspeakers, a make and a model perhaps not so well known outside Scandinavia.

This loudspeaker system needs may be twice the output power that Quad 405 can give, so I realize that Quad 405 in the standard stereophonic configuration may be somewhat underdimensioned. While I still indeed would like to have the same nature of sound quality as produced by Quad 405, I wonder if it would have be possible to use a "bridged" stereo version of a Quad model or use on of their monophonic designs?

The main issue is whether it be possible to maintain the same sound reproduction quality as offered by Quad 405, with special emphasis on the timbre of the musical instruments, and at the same time have twice the power output? If so, there would be enough power output to produce an adequate rendition of a Brahms symphony.

As it means a lot to me to solve this issue, I would be very glad for all comments and recommendations.
