RE: The Brennan JB7

It's easy to load CD's onto the Brennan JB7, but it's not so easy to find what you're looking for when you actually want to listen to music.

What I think might be really useful for technophobes is a CD ripper with a reliable database for classical CDs which could create an iTunes or similar library without fuss. No need for a built in amplifier. The database is key and, of course, you don't really need a separate gadget at all - just a PC with a suitable program but does such a program exist?

If such a program existed my dad would probably try moving to a server based system. I think I put him off buying a Brennan after telling him about the problems described in this thread.

I use dbpoweramp which works fine for me.

The Brennan works better as an amp than as a music system.  I use it for my tv, where it fits nicely because of its small size.  I could do without the giant brick though.

So do I but I still have to do a bit of tag editing afterwards.

What I'm thinking of is something which is, say, 95% reliable.
