Ravel's violin sonata n. 2 in G is worth mentioning imo, Parla. A singular, a unique work that I take much fun listening to. Its jazzistic appeal is enticing. [BTW, where's Ian and all that Jazz?] More to consider: the two written by Bartók (the first seems to be the best) and the two composed by Fauré (the second Op. 108 is clearly better).
