Cannot print from EMI CD
I have three EMI opera sets each with a bonus CD containing the libretto, etc.. The first time everything worked and I was able to print out a full libretto. The second and third time there was no response and the PC froze. When I restarted and tried the first CD again the PC froze. Any explanation would be most welcome!

Sorry, I don't have any of these EMI sets yet. Will do soon.
I assume you've tried playing another CD on the computer?

I've bought at least a dozen of the EMI Home of Opera sets, Adrian3. I haven't tried out the CD Rom on every one of them because I already have a libretto for the opera in question. Of those I tried only the CD Rom out of the Peter Grimes set seems defective. It loads or in other words the artwork is displayed on screen but neither the synopsis or the libretto function buttons operate. I gave up in the end and bought a copy of Britten's recording on Decca which has a printed libretto. It may be easy to follow the words when the principals are singing without a libretto but less easy to make them out during the plentiful choral passages.
I would be very annoyed if I couldn't access the libretto on one of the sets where I don't have an alternative recording - Die Frau ohne Schatten comes to mind.
It would be interesting to hear if anyone else has experienced the same problems and if anyone can offer a solution. If nobody can, rather than returning the sets to the retailer - although that's an option - we should probably contact EMI direct. I should warn you though that from previous experience of contacting the manufacturer the likely response from them would be to take the matter up with the retailer for an exchange. This is a bit difficult to do if the receipt has not been retained. I can already picture the look on the faces of counter staff when we tell them the music discs play perfectly but we can't access the libretto!

@ Caballe
What happened with your "Peter Grimes" is just what happens with my CD-ROMs, with a major difference: one of mine worked the first time but doesn't now. As to repairing an eventual error (with Media Player or with Adobe reader?) I just don't know where to begin. Music CDs and DVDs all play normally.
