Carlos Paita

There's biographical information and a discography on Paita's own website.

The very short Wikipedia article on Patia says "He is noted for a series of recordings issued on his own Lodia label. As of 2006, the label is out of business...", so they may well be rather hard to get hold of (but see also below).

There's quite a long article about Patia - Carlos Paita, Back in Circulation - dating from 2008, that which gives an overview of a number of his recordings, many of which seem to be highly regarded.

At the end the article it says "Lodia has had no North American or UK distribution for 20 years or so, but all the Paita recordings may be ordered now from the Swiss distributor Smart Music" - but looking at the Smart music website doesn't give the impression they still carry them, although you could obviously try contacting them.

Amazon lists around a dozen recordings, all in the £20+ range, apparently all sold by cd-trade_uk and shipped from Switzerland (maybe there's a "Smart Music" connection there?).

Finally, and fwiw, there's also a short thread about him on a German forum,  in which people comment on some of his recordings.
