Apologies if this has been discussed before.

I am a devout user of the Gramophone Music Guide for all my classical music purchases.

I think the Guide can be a great iPhone app with all the advantages of being digital (in-depth search options, cross-references, a much bigger database and even direct links to the iTunes music store!).

I would gladly pay a premium price for a well-executed app and would also be willing to pay incremental charges for yearly updates while I can't justify buying a new edition of the print version and get by with my '06 edition.

I highly value the content created by the experienced editors of this magazine over the years and I would be the first in line to support their value presented in such a convenient and accessible way.

And as a widget for Android... :)

My HTC legend can read pdf's, ad it is very nice I can read along with scores taken from:

As long as the files are not too big, it's actually easy to read along with a cd or live performance... :)

It's certainly a great idea, and something we've thought about as a possible plan - but a plan among many, given the development time it would involve. But I'd be really interested to know what other forum members think about it - would it appeal?
