Arbutus, I think it was a right decision. The "awfulness" thread has become too sour, degenerated, simply awful.
I think it was the right moment to finish a heated debate that had become too personal and it could only hurt the forum and, eventually, even the magazine.

Oh no, I really will be in trouble now. The funny thing is that I know someone called Martin Everard, but I forgot that he doesn't write about hi-fi for Gramophone.
I am well aware that I have no influence on anything that happens here but I haven't ever seen a thread removed just because everyone was bored with it. I would still like to know from someone at Gramophone why this has happened.
