The theme "Life" which opens the film "Prometheus" is a striking and atmospheric piece. I am wondering about possible influences. I think I have found one = the opening section of "Rite" in Bloch's 3 Jewish Poems. Any other suggestions?

Ignore that previous stupid reply.

The composer Marc Streitenfeld hails from Germany and has worked with Hans Zimmer , so I suppose he may be influenced by German romanticism or even the 2nd Austrian school..
