Future of Radio 3
...BBC2, BBC4 and Radio3 wouldn't survive without the license fee.
The above are all intelligent comments but can there ever be any conclusive evidence and once scrapped, would it be reversible?

Well Radio 3 is currently excelling itself for me with one of the best things I've heard all year, namely the 12 lunchtime recitals for the last 3 weeks of the complete Beethoven piano sonatas with half a dozen different pianists, from LSO St Luke's (with stunningly realistic sound). Best have been yesterday's and today's both with Elizabeth Leonskaya including Op 109, 110 & 111. Last is tomorrow with Barry Douglas including the Hammerklavier.

A former Gramophone contributor Twittered today ... 'Could someone tell the modernisers at Radio 3 that the foxtrot is not the turding way forward?'
Armando Iannucci no less.
Pause for thought.
