Good night John Boy.

Walton. After listening to this weeks building a library I decided to get my Billy Walton CDs out and give them a play. So much dust on them. I used to like William Walton and wonder why he wasn't more popular, but on listening again, he doesn't seem to say much, he doesn't say much 'very nicely' of course, how very English.

RE: Good night John Boy.
How hard can it be to write music for a Battle of Britain film. A few aeroplane noises, a bit of drumming, a funny waltz when Hitler is goose stepping and a good old cockney knees up when the hun are vanquished. They don't like it up 'em they don't.

Is the real problem that he lost his confidence after having his score for Battle of Britain rejected by the holywood machine. There are parallels with the rejection of Bruckner's 8th by Hermann Levi, perhaps!!
