Hi guys, is it possible to buy a digital version of the last "Gramophone Classical Music Guide". The latest version they have on Amazon is 2012, but they only have the print, I want to get the digital version. I'm mostly interested in reading about the suggested basic library, and what are considered to be the definitive recordings of some famous works, so if there is another product that I can buy with those features I would be interested in that too.

How about "1001 Classical recordings you must hear before you die" Ed Mathew Rye with contributions from many of the usual critics. Seasoned collectors, if anything like me, will agree wholeheartedly with some of the recommmendations and disagree violently with others - rather like these forums!

Excellent question. Might anyone know the status of whatever digital offering is in the works? In the last year I've found it more of a challenge to seek out those valuable recommended recordings on the re-designed site. As the 2012 print guide ages, I suspect many of us are keen to keep up with new releases of merit. Personally, I like the ratings system available in the printed guide books. Thank in advance for any information.

Follow up: For those digital subscribers, does the iPad app include The Guide?
