Richard Wigmore stated in his review of the complete Hyperion set of
Schubert Lieder (January 2006) that Graham Johnson's extensive sleeve notes "will reappear, further expanded, in two gargantuan volumes from Yale University Press."

After doing some research on the Internet it seems to me that the book is not yet available.

Does anybody have any information if or when the book will be finally published?

Hyperion Schubert Edition - liner notes available in book form?

I recently sent an enquiry regarding these notes to Hyperion, and Simon Perry replied with the information that the books are due for publication by Yale 'next year' and include "all of his notes on Schubert vastly expanded from the original notes that accompanied the Hyperion Schubert edition"!

RE: Hyperion Schubert Edition - liner notes in book form?

According to the Wigmore Hall brochure, they are staging a 'Graham Johnson Gala Concert' on April 13th 2013 to celebrate the publication of these notes on the Schubert Songs in book form.

However I can't find any publishing details anywhere on the internet - least of all on the Yale University Press website!

Does anyone have any info on this?

Alan
