New Format

I have to confess to being slightly cautious of the new format, but in reality and on first read I am impressed.  The longer review is MOST welcome, even though I am unsure of the value of listening points specific to this disc given that most people will not own it yet and are unlikely to return to the magazine and this section when they do?  I may be wrong.

The specialist's guide promises to be a valuable addition and I am delighted at the absence of The Trial which promised much but was always a bit artificial.

Well done and if this is Inverne's legacy he leaves the magazine in a healthy state.

Small point - in the Gramohpne Choice it helps to print the names and performers as the CD covers don't always show this clearly.  I am not sure about the value of democracy either.  I rather liked reading James's views on his staffs' picks and see little value in simply extracting from the main reviews - needlessly repetitive and a waste of two pages?
