I reckon opera has missed a trick or two down the years, ok youve got your ring cycle and your figaro 1 and 2 but it hasnt really embraced the sequel in the way films have. Which operas should be given a sequel? OK Aida 2 would need to start off a bit gothic and dark but then they could escape indiana jones style through the walls. Thaart would be right exciting, draw the crowds in that would. Look at Butch and Sundance, right dead they be in the first one but they made a sequel. Tosca 2, she's running through the streets of rome on crutches....
