If i may narrow the choice down to just one aria i would choose
Birgit Nillson`s Lieberstod under the baton of Karl Bohm.
For sheer emotion it has no equal.
I listen to it on headphones and it has a shattering effect on me that
produces a flood of emotion tears.
Sadly i have an hearing defect which prevents me from ever enjoying this piece again.
