Bored of hearing the same symphonies, this tool chooses a random one for you on the spot http://www.dirknachbar.com/randsymph/, let me know of any suggestions (maybe one for quartets or operas).

RE: Random symphony suggestion

Nice! Could use some more obscure ones though.

My first 10 results:

Brahms 2 (Sunny Brahms, always nice, specially now the weather is getting spring-y here)

Sibelius 1 (Love the later, less Tchaikovskian ones better, but ok)

Nielsen 2 (Same, love 3, 4, 5 and 6 more, but it's still a respectable piece)

Bruckner 6 (My all-time favorite symphony by anyone, ever - how did you know, Dirk?)

Prokofiev 4 (Love it, but the original version beats the soviet-reworking)

Haydn 83 (Is that the g-moll? Great one.)

Schumann 4 (2 and 3 are better, but when I'm in an aggressive mood, 4 does the trick)

Beethoven 8 (The epitome of wisdom and classical beauty)

Beethoven 3 (Pure epicness. I wish I were at the premiere so I could hit the guy who yelled for it to end in the face.)

Schubert 9 (And we end the list in heavenly C-major)
