Thank you very much for comparing me with Northrop Moore (b.1934) - I can't think of a greater compliment. He has written several books on Elgar and his biography of the composer has become a classic. Far from "recycling worn out clichés", he has a very clear style even when talking about the technical side of music and is a most perceptive writer. So thank you again, and why not read the biography so that your future posts will be better informed?

Yes I'll read it, then post a picture of myself gazing into the book on the internet. Just to show how clever I am at being able to reading. That would be good wouldn't it.

(A slight handicap that has littered many a previous incarnation of this writer.  Oh well, it takes all sorts, I suppose.)
