Wallander Part two. Partsongs downfall.
Avro Part. Well I ordered the CD but when it came there wasn't a Scandinavian Police drama DVD enclosed. I can't believe they expect you to listen to Avro Part without a bleak sentimental crime drama. Tabula rasa, well I've learn't estonian for squeaky gate. Oil the gate Avro and it won't make the same sound every five seconds when someone opens it. Anyway back to Wallander, There is a madman on the loose and he is heading up the M5 and along the M4. Partsong is blissfully unaware. The squeaky gate music begins. The sniper is in the tree. Close all your doors and windows Partsong.

He may well have done Chris, he certainly didn't make music, don't get caught in the crossfire Chris, this bullet isn't meant for you. However, if you get in the way.....

The usual below- Avro rubbish. You can't even read the name on the CD.

Hi Uber! Sorry you didn't like it.
All I can say is Arvo grows on you (as Parla said about Piazzola). It took me years literally to get past that bleakness...
Which CD did you order? The Symphony no. 3 is a good piece, and nowhere near as bleak. Only thing is I think it's on the same Naxos CD as Tabula Rasa, which I also have on ECM vinyl...

DG - Gil Shaham. Amazon £5 inc P & P. I feel cheated.
Film music written by Avro Part and staring Brut Lancaster. Sounds bad, smells bad and you certainly wouldn't want to fly in it.

Can't remember who recommended Penderecki on the other thread. Naxos £3.50. Feels like value for money at the moment, bought it for the cello concerto No2 but quite like the Viola Concerto. Maybe Cigar in order, bullet put away.
Message to wooden Spanish speaking assassin currently hiding in Partsongs apple tree. 'Give him both barrels'. I just hope I have written the name Crystoff Pendellton right, I couldn't live with the shame.

Hi Uber!
Your assassin has very kindly allowed me to pen a last message, so here we go:
I, the undersigned, being of sound mind and body (ish) do hereby leave all my worldly goods and possessions as follows:
I leave my entire Polish post-war collection and Arvo Part collection to Uber Alice!
Glad you like the Penderecki viola concerto.
IF you can spare 5 minutes for Arvo Part, go on youtube music and type in Arvo Part Summa.
1) Listen to Summa for strings (5 Mins) - preferably 1991 version
2) Try the Third Symphony last movement (it's on same page as Summa)
3) Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten
All three are under 10 minutes each...These three pieces are beautiful and not as bleak as Tabula Rasa...

This is what happens when you send a wooden spanish speaking puppet to do a mans job. Don't let him talk you out of it Pedro Garcia-Garcia, the £5 I spent on the CD would have kept you oiled for a year. You need to act like a machine, you are a puppet for god sake, stop thinking like a real boy.
