Andras Schiff's new well tempered clavier on ecm

This is really remarkable. I thought Andras Schiff's recording of the well tempered clavier on Decca was excellent. This surpasses even that benchmark recording. ECM's recording too is fantastic. Schiff is a born Bach player whereas his Beethoven though of a high standard is uneven. In this recording, he makes Bach's music really sing. But he does not take agogic liberties as Angela Hewitt does in her second recording of the well tempered clavier. I feel I am hearing the music afresh. This set is indispensable and is likely to set the bar for many years. It would be interesting to hear what others feel about this recording.

I'm waiting to receive it in a couple of weeks, when I'll be back on my basis.
My experience so far with this pianist is not the best and, in any case, a bit uneven. His Partitas on ECM were not so inspiring or exciting. His Beethoven too. However, I saw him last year live in Beijing, playing Bach and Beethoven and he sounded unusually good.
So, let's see what we'll hear, this time...
