Supraphon has just reissued this great recordings originally produced by Connoisseur Society. Any comments regarding the quality of the new remastering ?. I had the original CD edition (early nineties), and I think it already had a very good, ntural sound.

Hi Hector!

We had discussed this somewhere on this forum; but I can't remember where!  I believe that Parla either was going to or had ordered this newly remastered edition. On another forum a friend of mine said that he thought that there was a definite improvement in the sound (though not huge if I'm remembering correctly!). I'd list that website, but I think that it's against G's policy? I'd like to order this CD myself (I have the purple-covered Nonesuch edition).

Hopefully some others will respond here....

Best wishes,

Petra

Petra is correct. I raised the issue on the forthcoming releases thread, when I found out Supraphon was about to reissue it. Indeed, I have ordered it, but I won't receive it but only around mid-September, where I return to my base, since now I'm on my vacation with family on our second home, far away in Beijing.

However, based on what Supraphon claimed, it should be even a slight improvement on the total product. We'll see. By the way, the Moravec's Live in Brussels (on Supraphon too) is quite good as well, with a variety of a program to enjoy. The artist's loyals should try it.
