Hello. I was wondering whether or not anyone here knows whether or not the Lahti Symphony Orchestra will be releasing either on CD or DVD some of their recordings from the Sibelius Festival. I've been watching some of their performances on Classiclive and very much enjoying them! I'm particularly interested in their performances of Sibelius and also other Finnish composers. For example, I recently listened to Englund's Symphony No. 2 (Blackbird) which I hadn't heard before but really liked [and noticed via Amazon that there are only a couple of recordings of it].

As a side note: I also saw a listing for some recordings (at a high price) from the Kuhmo Festival...no idea of the contents, but am intrigued.

Hoping that someone here might be-in-the-know....Mr. Mellor perhaps? :-)

Best wishes,

Petra
