Prefer the Beethoven to the Brahms  (Alsop, Boult & others are superior in the latter). However as Vic says will the CD be a regular feature? Is it to woo former Classic FM magazine readers or to supplement the EMI advert in the magazine for the box of all Karajan's EMI recordings?

As a matter of general interest however the Beethoven could and can be heard free of charge along with more than 20 other versions of the fifth on the British Library sound archive website.
