Noises Off

I listen quite often using headphones of a fairly modest standard but I am puzzled by a couple of recent acquisitions which have 'regular' short pulses of what appear to be white noise. The recent release on Naxos of Beethoven's Choral Fantasy and the older recording on Hyperion of Rossini's Petit Messe have these all of the way through on my copies.

They are consistent in that they occur at the same points each time when replayed, and using different players. The fault doesn't appear obtrusive when heard on speakers, but is quite so on headphones. It's almost as if someone is pressing an aerosol at regular intervals. I can't think it is a function of some damage to the disc. In both cases it appears to affect the right channel. Does anyone else have either of these discs and confirm my observation?
