Steven de Groote

The great South African pianist Steven de Groote left a sadly sparse recorded legacy, but one of distinction none the less.  His tragically early death as a result of injuries in a plane crash deprived the musical world of a sublime talent.

Some years ago, I acquired in an HMV sale a copy of him playing Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 2, with the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra conducted by David de Villiers.  Stupidly, I sold it later along with several hundred CDs, and I have regretted doing so ever since.  I have never seen another copy on sale anywhere, nor does it ever appear online for sale.  Is there anyone out there who has an unwanted copy they might be willing to part with for a reasonable price?  If so, please let me know, on (MOB.) 07818 808918.
