But I like Oehmann best, followed by Haefliger, Wunderlich and Patzak; Oehmann probably had less trouble riding the orchestra in concert in I, Haefliger was the first tenor I heard sing it in concert (with Merriman under Maazel circa 1961) and you couldn't exactly hear every word. I could hardly hear Jerusalem at all under Gielen! No problem on record.
