Naxos has added a new education initiative to its current offering of books, albums and apps for children (not to mention its vast catalogue which covers the repertoire as widely as any label).

Aimed at children aged four to 12, NaxosMusicBox.com will draw together 4000 audio tracks from that extensive catalogue, plus audiobooks, playlists and listening quizzes, and will be regularly updated. Differing versions will allow access either for teachers (including lesson plans and other classrooms resources), or for children and parents studying at home, with differing subscription options (starting with a seven-day free trial).

According to Naxos founding chairman Klaus Heymann, ‘Contributing to the public’s classical music education has been central to my vision for Naxos since the label’s inception. We have taken different approaches with different age groups and have never forgotten the importance of nurturing young people, who are the audiences of the future.’
