Martin Cullingford18th Apr 2011

The latest Gramophone podcast is now available to download and to stream.

Gramophone's Editor-in-Chief James Jolly talks to composer John Rutter about the new recording of his music – including his Gloria and Te Deum – on Naxos records, as well as to its conductor, St Albans Cathedral's Master of Music, Andrew Lucas. He also talks to pianist Alexandra Silocea about her first disc of Prokofiev Piano sonatas for Avie records. Meanwhile, to coincide with Gramophone's annual festival guide, we discuss the themes and highlights from the coming summer season.

Includes musical excerpts of Rutter's Gloria and Magnificat from Naxos, Prokofiev's Sonata No 4 from Avie, and from the Music@Menlo and Progetto Martha Argerich, Lugano festivals.
