In the video below, Georg Muffat's Missa in labore requies is performed and recorded in the octagonal space of the Abbey Church of Muri in Switzerland. Five seperate choirs and five ensembles are spread among the galleries of the church with the conductor Johannes Strobl standing in the middle – an impressive feat of musical co-ordination! The new recording of Muffat's Mass (alongside Church Sonatas by Bertali, Biber and Schmelzer), performed by Cappella Murensis and Les Cornets Noirs, is out now on Audite Musikproduktion.
