A Live From London pre-concert talk from Stephen Johnson and a brilliant line-up of players

Live from London will on Saturday broadcast a concert featuring Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time, performed by a hugely impressive lineup comprising clarinetist Julian Bliss, violinist Jack Liebeck, cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason and pianist Katya Apekisheva.

Ahead of the performance, Stephen Johnson gives a fascinating talk about the work, beautifully illustrated with musical excerpts from the players - and Gramophone is delighted to offer it exclusively in advance of Saturday's concert. You can watch it below.

For more information about the concert - which is broadcast at 7pm on Saturday 17th (though the broadcast actually begins at 6.35pm with this talk), and also includes Vaughan Williams's The Lark Ascending - and to buy tickets, visit Live from London.
