In the March issue of Gramophone, we commemorate the centenary of Debussy’s death with a fascinating, wide-reaching feature by Mark Pullinger, in which he speaks to major interpreters about the French composer’s influence on music of the 20th century and beyond.

Andrew Manze, meanwhile, is the focus of an article by Richard Bratby in which the conductor talks about his passion for Vaughan Williams as he continues his recorded symphony cycle with the RLPO for Onyx.

Elsewhere, in this month’s Collection Richard Lawrence listens to available recordings of Mozart’s tragicomic opera Don Giovanni and chooses his favourite, while, in Classics Reconsidered, two Gramophone critics assess the iconic status of Boulez’s Lulu.

In addition to all of this – and much more besides – are the regular reviews by our expert panel of critics which highlight the most recent classical music recordings. Don’t miss the March issue of Gramophone, on sale from February 23!
