3D film explores Chopin's music at the South Bank

The Flying Machine: The World of Chopin’s Études is unveiled in 3D at the RFH
Made by BreakThru Films, which won an Oscar in 2008 for Peter & the Wolf
Nine directors were commissioned to do a musical film based on one Etude each
The film features Lang Lang, who recalls falling in love with music through anim
Each Etude is turned into a story
The film was made after an approach from the Polish Ministry of Culture

A film which explores the music of Chopin through animated stories will have its premiere at London's South Bank centre this weekend.

The film, which aims to enthuse children about Chopin's music, features pianist Lang Lang – to see him talking about the project, as well as to see some clips from the film, click here.

The Flying Machine: The World of Chopin’s Études is performed at the Royal Festival Hall on February 12 and 13 - see the Southbank's website for details.
