Suggestions for a Good Portable Record Player

Hey everyone, loving this site so far. Great atmosphere and lots of knowledge that is getting passed around. Me and my D&D group are going to be playing a game this summer out in the forest, and we want to make it a whole big event with music, games, and food. We have some really good classical and swing records that we like to listen to, but usually we play at my house where I use my dads old record player. Are there any good quality Portable Record players that anyone can reccommend that would not break the bank? The cost will be split among six of us but we have a lot of other costs for this trip, so something that is hundreds and hundreds of pounds might be a little too much. Any suggestions welcome and appreciated :)

It sounds like fun. I have no idea about portable record players. I suspect the ideas of "good quality" and "portable" don't sit easily together.

How much do you want the ambience of "playing records", which probably isn't easily achieved as opposed to music of your choice played reasonably well through say an ipod and a bluetooth speaker?

I know that USB powered ones

I know that USB powered ones are the rage at a lot of festivals right now, so I figured we would be able to find something. The whole ambiance and everything is definetly what we are going for, not being able to hear the music very much over the crackling of the fire because that is just how loud it will go, stuff like that. I guess some good speakers hooked up to the Ipod would be a good alst second choice though :)

After quite a bit of deliberating over whether or not we really needed to spend the money for a record player to take with us, we decided to take a look at a website that someone sent us called http://www.for-sale.co.uk/vintage-portable-record-player and saw some great portable record players that fit into the budget. Thanks for the help everyone, we will have an awesome campaign!

Hope you have a good time!
