Advice on a famous pianist

Hi there,

I'm hoping some of you in this forum can help me figure something out.  For a number of years I've had a friend online and via the phone, who had told me she was a famous pianist. For reasons I won't go into here, I've started to doubt these claims. I knew her personally a long time ago, so its not a case that I don't know her at all.

Does anyone have any advice on how to research famous pianists of the last 20 years or so ?

Did she go by the name Joyce

Did she go by the name Joyce Hatto?

More seriously, I would use google as my first line of enquiry - there will a trail of performances of something that would establish the likely credentials of this pianist.

Now of course, exposure opportunities dry up a bit if you're not in the very top rank - however two fine pianists I've been privileged to know as friends who are not household names still get plenty of mentions on google to establish their credentials.

thanks.. but I cannot find

thanks.. but I cannot find anything.. and I've tried looking.  I was hoping maybe there was someone on here who knew how to do research or could point me to specific sites.
