HMV...HELP

I found someone selling an old HMV gramophone they say has been passed down generations, I'm totally new to gramophones (saw it today and figured it would be a great start to my cigar rooom) but have done a bit of research on how to identify fakes (I may ask for some help on this once I get some pictures sent to me). This HMV comes with no horn, if it is real, how much does that compromise its value? Would it still be worth purchasing if everything else is in tact?
